There are close to 80 million Turkish speakers in the world today and whilst the majority of those are of course in Turkey, there are significant Turkish speaking populations all over the world in countries including Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
