The Lesson Shop is a comparison website for all types of lessons. We’re here to help aspiring students find the right teacher and the best lesson for them.
There’s a quick and easy search function on the homepage which can be used to narrow your search down to the lesson type you want and the location you want it in. Hit search and then you’ll get all the matching results.
You can filter your search results by price, rating, distance to narrow down the options. You can then view the lesson page to get more information and if you’re happy with it you just use the ‘Visit Teacher’ button to go direct to the teacher website or contact page and book directly with them.
Teachers can easily sign up to list their lessons via our platform, making The Lesson Shop a perfect way to increase business or book up your schedule with new clients. We conduct background checks and verify each lesson and teacher to ensure only legitimate, trustworthy and reliable teachers are found on our website. Once registered you can add your lesson and will find new students contacting you in no time.
The Lesson Shop does not charge students for any lesson or service. Students are referred to the teacher through our platform and from there can choose to enter into a direct contract with the teacher for all lesson related matters. The Lesson Shop has no involvement with the discussion you have with the teacher at this stage and does not take any referral fee or commission of your purchase.
It’s free to list your lesson and use our services for the first month after signing up. After a month of growing your business we’ll then offer the option of our monthly or annual subscription plan.

We also have a category for “Other Lessons” as there’s so many to choose from. If you can’t find the lesson you’re looking for or if the category doesn’t currently exist on our site then it can be added by contacting us
The Lesson Shop will conduct verification checks on all registered teachers and in some instances may check ID , insurance details, latest qualifications & references. We stress that students must conduct their own due diligence and use their own judgement about the services found on our website.
Absolutely! You don’t need qualifications to list most lessons types, but this does depend on what you do. You might be a fluent speaker of a second language with a great ability to teach others, or an expert piano player looking to impart your wisdom and make an income on the side.
With some lessons and services there are legal restrictions/requirements or insurance conditions (driving lessons for example) which is why we verify your lesson before it’s activated to ensure you are legally permitted to conduct the lesson.
